In this step-by-step guide, I will show you how to install The Magic Dragon Kodi Addon. Since the Kodi interface is the same on all the devices, the same steps will work for all Kodi boxes including Amazon Fire TV / Stick, Android TV box, and Nvidia Shield.
The Magic Dragon Kodi Addon presents to you a whole breadth of video content including TV Shows, Movies, Documentaries and a lot more. It seems this addon is a successor of the popular The Dogs Bollocks addon. In fact, The Dogs Bollocks has been repackaged and rebranded as The Magic Dragon. That’s beside the point though as this addon offers high-quality entertainment material and I am totally enjoying it. And, it is incredibly fast; faster than most addons I have been using (or trying out) these days.
Here are some exciting categories it organizes the video content in:
- People Watching
- New Cams/HDTS Releases
- New Movie Releases
- Real Debrid Movies
- 4K Movies
- Catch Up TV
- Episodes of The Day
- Kodi Channels
So, as you see, The Magic Dragon is not any other on-demand addon. It is a cocktail of videos and music. Of course, movies and shows are the primary focus of this addon.
Besides the video categories, it has some utility categories too:
The Magic Dragon Kodi Addon is available from the following two repositories:
Both are among the most trusted and most widely used content sources in the Kodi community.
In this guide, I will use the MaverickTV source. But, you might just as well use Supremacy. They both have the most up to date version of The Magic Dragon addon.

The Magic Dragon Kodi Addon is Really Fast
It is indeed one of the fastest addon I have come across in all the time I have used Kodi. When talking about speed, there are three things to consider:
- How fast is the navigation?
- How much time the addon takes to fetch streams
- How quickly does it start the playback from the chosen stream?
I must say, The Magic Dragon on Kodi scores on all the counts. Navigation is smooth, effortless and quick. It almost instantly fetches the streams (while most addons may take more than a minute). And, it is quick to playback the video from the chosen stream.
It is true that the speed varies across the content. For instance, most popular videos are faster to play. Yet, in comparison to others, it is very fast.
The Magic Dragon Addon Gets You Quality Links
This addon chooses quality over quantity. It will not pull you hundreds of links like the others. That’s because it filters out the weak, unhealthy links. It gets you the ones with the highest chances of successful streaming.
Let’s Explore The Magic Dragon Kodi Addon
I have been using Kodi for years, and let me tell you, I haven’t seen anything quite like The Magic Dragon. It may still have the content collection same size as the other video add-ons, but what really impresses me is how it has organized the content in its library.
Open Kodi and from the home-screen go to Add-ons. Now, open Video add-ons. This is the section from where you can access The Magic Dragon addon on Kodi
I have already shared the list of the categories available on the main-screen of The Magic Dragon Kodi addon. You must have noticed that some categories are rather unique and yet handy. Such an arrangement and choice of categories makes it easier for me to look up for the content I want to watch.
It’s not just about the categories though. It is also important to provide the quality content in them. The Magic Dragon does a commendable job here.
Here is how its home-screen looks like:
As you can see, the options are fairly simple. All you need to do is pick one and get started. The image above doesn’t show it all though. There are a few more categories to choose from.
Before you start streaming with Kodi Addons / Builds, I would like to warn you that everything you stream on Kodi is visible to your ISP and Government. This means, streaming copyrighted content (free movies, TV shows, Sports) might get you into legal trouble.
