Make your own AI images for free, on your own PC. In this video I run Fooocus, the free open-source AI image generator, on my Windows PC: launching it with run_realistic.bat –listen, typing a prompt, generating my first images, opening it from my phone on the same Wi-Fi (port 7865), and testing what it can do with some fun prompts. Then I show you where to download it and what hardware you need.
Fooocus is offline and free: your prompts and images stay on your own computer, with no subscription and no cloud upload.

The Fooocus README warns that websites like fooocus.com, .ai, .net and .org are fake and have nothing to do with the project.
What you need (from the official README):
– Windows or Linux with an NVIDIA GPU (RTX 2000/3000/4000 series): at least 4 GB VRAM and 8 GB RAM
– AMD GPUs (8 GB) and Apple Silicon Macs work too, but are slower and less tested
– Plenty of free disk space for the models (they download automatically on first launch)
– Windows: download the 7z from the GitHub page, unzip, then run run.bat (or run_realistic.bat / run_anime.bat)
My PC in this video: NVIDIA RTX 3090 (24 GB VRAM), 32 GB RAM.
Good to know:
– Fooocus is built on Stable Diffusion XL (SDXL). Latest version: 2.5.5. The project is now in long-term support with bug fixes only.
– –listen lets other devices on your home network open Fooocus at YOUR-PC-IP:7865. It has no password by default, so only use it on a network you trust.
– The first image takes longer while the models load. After that it’s much faster.
