Old Trafford under the lights, sort of. Manchester United host Tottenham Hotspur at 17:30 BST on Saturday, and the UK pick is Sky Sports across Main Event, Premier League and Ultra HD. Legal channels only. No pirate IPTV, no “loaded stick” nonsense, no reseller fairy tales.
Article ID: HUSHAM-20261009-MCH1. Verified 9 Oct 2026 against Radio Times Premier League TV schedule, NBC Sports how-to-watch, Front Row Soccer NBC grid, and the Premier League fixture amendment. Soft-link the weekend living hub for the rest of the 10-12 Oct block.
What to watch
- Fixture: Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur (Premier League)
- Venue: Old Trafford, Manchester
- Kick-off: Saturday 10 October 2026, 17:30 BST / 12:30 ET
United want a statement at home. Spurs want points that actually stick. Sky’s UK coverage usually opens ahead of the 17:30 whistle, so get the snacks sorted early rather than trusting the hype reel.
What’s planned
Form notes checked today (NBC Sports how-to frame, 7 to 9 Oct 2026):
- Manchester United: around 12th with 5 points from a 1-2-2 start under Michael Carrick. Only league win so far was against Ipswich. Defensive doubts pile up: de Ligt OUT, Ugarte OUT, with Mainoo, Rashford, Amad and Sesko among the fitness question marks.
- Tottenham Hotspur: bottom-half territory with 2 points. Micky van de Ven and Jan Paul van Hecke are back after Netherlands duty. Kulusevski, Porro, Odobert and Simons are listed out.
Line-ups move late. Check the club sites or BBC Sport nearer kick-off rather than freezing a midweek preview.

Device tips (legal apps only)
Same rights, different boxes. Soft notes from the living hub and hardware guide:
- Fire Stick / Fire TV: official Sky / NOW / Peacock (US geo) / BBC iPlayer apps from the Amazon Appstore. Vega OS sticks only get Appstore apps. See the living hub device section.
- Husham Stick: Play Store / player apps already on the stick for licensed services. Ask on forum.husham.com before random APKs.
- Android TV / Google TV: Google Play licensed apps. Hardware map: best IPTV hardware 2026.
- Kodi: stock Kodi from kodi.tv is fine as a media centre. No third-party pirate football addons for live Premier League.
After the match / Final score

Best IPTV boxes to buy
These are certified Android TV / Google TV media boxes and sticks that can run players and licensed apps from Google Play. They are not pirate hardware. They do not come with channels or playlists. I am not claiming I personally lab-tested every SKU this month.
Buy one of these when: Fire TV sideload is a hassle on your model, you want Play Store apps on a proper TV OS, or you want a dedicated player shell behind the sofa. No Fire TV device is on this shortlist.
- NVIDIA SHIELD TV Pro: the premium pick, a certified Android TV player with AI upscaling, Dolby Vision/Atmos and Gigabit Ethernet for the main living-room telly. Amazon UK | Amazon US | Amazon DE | Amazon FR | Amazon IT
- Google TV Streamer 4K: solid Google TV living-room default with Ethernet, 32GB storage and Dolby Vision/Atmos. Amazon UK | Amazon US | Amazon DE | Amazon FR | Amazon IT
- Xiaomi TV Box S (3rd Gen): Google TV box with 32GB storage, Wi-Fi 6 and Dolby Vision/Atmos, the cheaper box route than the Streamer. Amazon UK | Amazon US | Amazon DE | Amazon FR | Amazon IT
- Xiaomi TV Stick 4K (2nd Gen): budget Google TV stick with Wi-Fi 6 and Dolby Vision/Atmos when you want HDMI-simple, not a full box. Amazon UK | Amazon US | Amazon DE | Amazon FR | Amazon IT
- Strong LEAP-NOVA: Google TV certified 4K stick on Android 14 with 32GB storage, Wi-Fi 6 and Dolby Vision, for a second telly. Amazon DE | Amazon FR | Amazon IT
- MECOOL MEon1: Google TV certified 4K box with AI upscaling and 32GB storage for a dedicated player behind the sofa. Amazon UK
Still shopping for a Fire TV device? Fine for Prime Video and the Appstore universe. Not the shortlist above. And none of these boxes magically make unlicensed streams legal.
