Fibrus has added a TV add-on for its own full fibre customers in Northern Ireland and Cumbria. Broadband Analyst (10 Sep 2026) and ISPreview both cover the same shape: Fibrus TV on Netgem’s PLEIO 4K box, Freely over the fibre line, mid-September 2026 start, launch price £7.99 a month then £9.99. This is not a Sky-or-Virgin style “broadband plus TV forced bundle”. Broadband stays the main product. TV is an optional monthly add-on on that Fibrus line.

What Fibrus TV actually is
PLEIO is a compact 4K broadband TV / Freely streaming box (Netgem PLEIO) that plugs into the television and pulls live TV, apps and games from the broadband connection. Freely supplies free-to-air live and on-demand from the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and more, with no dish or aerial. Broadband Analyst summarises the pack as:

That is the same PLEIO formula other full fibre ISPs have already put on sale (brsk, Connect Fibre, Wightfibre, Voneus, Zzoomm and others are named in the same Broadband Analyst piece). Fibrus is late to the party relative to some altnets, but early enough for NI and Cumbria homes that never got a tidy Freely puck from their ISP before.
Retail kit ≠ Fibrus TV path. The same PLEIO hardware kit is also sold on Amazon (often around £99 in reporting – check Amazon today; dated retail figures move). That retail bundle can include box, remote, gamepad and months of premium content in the Amazon listing. Fibrus TV is the ISP-billed £7.99 then £9.99 add-on for Fibrus customers. Launch price: £7.99 a month. Standard price: £9.99 a month. Both figures appear in Broadband Analyst (10 Sep 2026), ISPreview and Telecompaper’s short note. Mid-September timing follows Fibrus’s 8 September announcement (“next week” in several write-ups).
Still missing beside those two prices (as of Broadband Analyst’s 10 September check): exact length of the £7.99 promo, any separate box fee on the Fibrus path, contract term for the TV add-on, and the full channel list. The dedicated page at fibrus.com/tv was not live on 8 or 10 September in that report. Treat £7.99 as a launch rate that needs a start and end date on Fibrus’s own page before you assume it lasts a year.
Who should skip
- Anyone outside Fibrus fibre in NI or Cumbria. No Fibrus line, no Fibrus TV.
- Homes that already have Freely on a Freely smart TV or another certified Freely device and do not want another puck, another remote or cloud games.
- Anyone who needs the full channel list, box fee and promo end date in writing before adding a bill line. Wait for fibrus.com/tv to publish those details.
- Households hunting illegal “IPTV” playlists. This pack is Freely, licensed apps and official PLEIO cloud games only. Illegal streams stay illegal.
Who it suits: Fibrus fibre customers who want Freely over IP, a single remote for live plus store apps, and do not mind a roughly ten-pound monthly add-on after the launch rate. Cloud games are a bonus if someone will actually use the controller. They are not a reason to take the add-on if nobody in the house games.

- Check your postcode on Fibrus first. If you are not covered, stop.
