Short answer: if you are even half thinking about an OPPO Find X10 or Find X10 Pro Max, pay the £49 deposit now. It is fully refundable, it unlocks £150 or £200 off plus a free gift of your choice, and the worst that can happen is OPPO holds £49 of yours for a few weeks. The phone is not on sale in the UK yet. That is exactly why the deposit exists.

It is not in the UK yet. The deposit is the point

OPPO launched the Find X10 series in China on 22 September 2026, and it went on sale there on 24 September, according to Xinhua and Jiemian. Chinese buyers got three models: Find X10 E, Find X10 and Find X10 Pro Max.

In the UK, OPPO's store still says “Coming soon”. What it does have is an early bird campaign: pay £49 now, and when the phones arrive you get the discount and a gift. Think of it as putting your name on the guest list, with OPPO holding your coat. The guest list covers two models only: the Find X10 and the Find X10 Pro Max. There is no Find X10 Pro and no Ultra in this offer, and the cheaper Find X10 E is not included.

Official page: OPPO UK Find X10 early bird offer. Full rules: OPPO UK early bird terms and conditions. Both checked on 4 October 2026 at about 11:40 UK time.

What you actually get for £49

Straight from OPPO's UK terms, for people who pay the deposit in time and then complete the purchase:

  • A discount coupon: £200 off the Find X10 Pro Max, or £150 off the Find X10. The banner says “up to £200”, which is marketing for “£200 if you buy the big one”.
  • One free gift, your choice: the OPPO Hasselblad Teleconverter Kit (price “announced after the launch event”), an OPPO Watch X3 (RRP £379) or an OPPO Pad 5 Wi-Fi (RRP £399). One. Not all three. The banner's “+ a FREE Hasselblad Teleconverter Kit” is really “+ a free thing, and the kit is one of the things”.
  • 50% off the OPPO AIRVOOC 50W Magnetic Charger 2.
  • A 15% student discount at the final payment stage, for eligible early birds, through Student Beans only.

The UK store page adds a few extras around the campaign: a “Best Price Available Now” promise (OPPO says if the price drops during Black Friday, it will refund the difference), trade-in quotes, free shipping, free returns and exchanges, and “Worry-Free Support” with signature on delivery. There is also an OPPO Creator Program running 22 September to 31 October 2026, offering 50% cashback on a Find X10 to social media creators it selects. The page says 30 places, for the UK, France and Germany only. So, not a coupon for the rest of us.

How the deposit works, with the dates

All times are UK time, as OPPO states them.

  1. Now until 21 October, 15:50 BST: pay the £49. The deposit stage opened on 22 September. You cannot pay in instalments at this stage, and no other coupons apply yet. Prices are not shown.
  2. 21 October, 16:00 BST: prices go live. OPPO's terms say the Find X10 and Find X10 Pro Max prices appear at the start of the final payment stage. That is as close to a UK launch date as OPPO has put in writing.
  3. 21 October to 27 October: pay the balance. Your £49 is credited towards the total and the £150 or £200 coupon is applied. Instalments and store offers are allowed at this stage.
  4. Deadline: 27 October, 23:00 GMT. One clause in the same document says 23:00 CET, which is an hour earlier in UK terms. The clocks also go back on 25 October, just to keep everyone awake. My practical advice: finish by 22:00 UK time and nothing can go wrong.

Miss the balance deadline and the order and all its perks are cancelled. The deposit goes back to your original payment method within 1 to 3 business days, then your bank takes 1 to 14 days.

Is the £49 refundable? Yes

This is the bit that makes the recommendation easy. OPPO's terms say you can cancel your participation “at any time during the deposit stage”, and you get the full £49 back via the original payment method within three business days, plus your bank's 1 to 14 days. If OPPO runs out of the phone before you pay the balance, it cancels and refunds you too.

Once you have paid in full and the phone arrives, you still have the standard 14-day right to withdraw. If you send the phone back, the gift goes back with it, or OPPO deducts its value.

Why paying early is a good idea

Run the numbers. You risk £49 that you can ask for back. In return you lock in up to £200 off, a gift with an RRP of up to £399, half-price magnetic charging and a Black Friday price promise. Even £150 off a Find X10 plus a Watch X3, at OPPO's own RRP, adds up to more than ten times the deposit.

The other reason is stock. The gifts are “first come, first served”, and OPPO lists the teleconverter kit as limited availability. The people who wait until 21 October to decide are the people choosing from whatever is left. Paying early is how you get first pick without committing to buy anything.

And there is plenty here to want. On OPPO's China spec pages, the Find X10 Pro Max has three 200MP rear cameras (main, ultra-wide and a 70mm telephoto) developed with Hasselblad, MediaTek's 2nm Dimensity 9600 Pro, an 8,000mAh battery, 80W wired and 50W wireless charging, and IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings. The Find X10 has two 200MP cameras, a Dimensity 9600M and the same battery and charging figures. UK versions may differ, and I will come back to that.

Who this suits

  • Concert and sport shooters. The teleconverter kit is the gift for you. In China, OPPO quotes a 230mm to 4600mm focal range with the kit on the Pro Max, and 20x “lossless” zoom in good light, based on OPPO's own lab testing.
  • Android upgraders on an older Find X or another flagship. You get a big discount on a phone you were probably going to buy anyway.
  • Students. Verify through Student Beans before 21 October so you are not doing paperwork at checkout.
  • People still weighing up an iPhone 18 Pro. The deposit buys you time to decide. My Find X10 Pro Max vs iPhone 18 Pro comparison sets out the trade-offs.

Who should skip it: anyone outside the UK (see below), and anyone set on the Find X10 E, which is not part of the UK offer.

The small print, briefly

  • No UK price yet. £200 off an unknown number is still an unknown number. You find out on 21 October, and you can still walk away with your £49.
  • The deposit does not reserve a phone. OPPO says plainly that it is not a sale or pre-order contract and does not guarantee stock.
  • Gifts run out. Once a gift is gone, you cannot select it. The stock counter on the page may lag, OPPO admits.
  • Match the kit to your phone. In China, the kit's case is model-specific, and the Pro Max colours even get different cases. Check the kit matches your model before checkout.
  • One coupon only. The £150 or £200 coupon cannot be combined with other coupons. OPPO does not spell out whether the 15% student discount stacks on top. Assume not until checkout proves otherwise.
  • Addresses are locked. Shipping and billing details cannot be changed after you submit them. Type carefully.
  • The Black Friday promise has no terms in the campaign T&Cs. Screenshot the page when you pay.
  • UK specs may not match China. A Dealabs leak, reported by Android Headlines, claims European models get a 7,150mAh battery and cost €1,499 (Find X10) and €1,799 (Pro Max) for 12GB/512GB. OPPO has not confirmed any of it. If it is right, the £200 matters even more.

Outside the UK

This £49 offer is UK only, run by OPPO's UK store. OPPO has its own euro versions in France, Germany and Spain, each with a €49 deposit and up to €200 off on the local OPPO store terms pages. Rules and gifts there can differ, so read your country's page. OPPO does not officially sell its phones in the US, so American readers are left admiring the zoom from a distance, which is ironic for a phone this good at zoom. In China, the phones have been on sale since 24 September, from 5,499 yuan (Find X10) and 6,799 yuan (Find X10 Pro Max), according to Chinese launch coverage.

Verdict

OPPO is asking for £49 of trust and offering a refund if you change your mind. That is a far better deal than most phone launches, where the only early bird reward is the privilege of paying first. If the Find X10 series is on your list, pay the deposit, pick your gift early, then decide on 21 October with the real price in front of you.

Best IPTV boxes to buy

These are certified Android TV / Google TV media boxes and sticks that can run players and licensed apps from Google Play. They are not pirate hardware. They do not come with channels or playlists. I am not claiming I personally lab-tested every SKU this month.

Buy one of these when: Fire TV sideload is a hassle on your model, you want Play Store apps on a proper TV OS, or you want a dedicated player shell behind the sofa. No Fire TV device is on this shortlist.

Still shopping for a Fire TV device? Fine for Prime Video and the Appstore universe. Not the shortlist above. And none of these boxes magically make unlicensed streams legal.

Editor's note: offer terms checked on OPPO's UK store page and UK terms and conditions on 4 October 2026, around 11:40 UK time. Phone specs are OPPO China's and may differ for UK models. I have not used a Find X10, so nothing here is a hands-on claim.
