Parents: Roblox’s new Terms of Use start on 1 November 2026, and there’s been a lot of panic about VPNs.
What I could verify (9 Oct 2026):
– The new terms take effect on 1 Nov 2026, and for under-18s a parent or guardian needs to agree.
– Players quoted a line about “misrepresenting your sign-up country”. When I checked Roblox’s official UK and Europe terms page on 9 Oct, that sentence was not in section 2.3, and the page doesn’t mention VPNs.
– The terms do say the information you give Roblox must be true, accurate and up to date.
Simple checklist: real date of birth on the account, Parental Controls switched on, and if your child uses a VPN, ask why. Don’t use it to pretend to be in another country.
