I am Dr Husham Memar, the owner of husham.com. If you have followed the site, the forum or the YouTube channel for any length of time, you already know the short version: this is a long-running home for practical streaming and IPTV education, player reviews, Fire Stick and Android TV setup notes, and the tools I build for the same audience. This page is the longer version. It is a living history of what is public, verified and still true, not a polished marketing biography.

Who I am

Publicly I write and appear as Husham Memar, often as Dr Husham Memar. On the community forum I have described myself as Doctor Husham and stated that I hold a PhD in physics from 1999. That is how I present myself in my own posts. I have not turned this About page into a CV of institutions or thesis titles, because the day-to-day work here is the site, the channel and the apps, not an academic listing.

The older About text on this page said it plainly: the owner of this website is Husham Memar (me). That has not changed. I still run the majority of the content across the main site and YouTube. The forum is where the community talks back, reports bugs and shares setup problems that become the next article or the next player update.

Why husham.com exists

I started this website when I was a very young boy in school. The point was simple even then: make my own name and my own blog before Google’s Blogger era and before Facebook became the default place people parked their writing. I later had a Blogger page and a Facebook page, but I stayed mostly connected here on husham.com and on YouTube. That line from the old About page still holds. This site is the spine. Everything else hangs off it.

Over the years the focus settled where the audience actually needed help: streaming boxes, Fire Stick quirks, Kodi and player apps, buffering that “fast” speed tests could not explain, and the difference between a media player and a content service. Readers are worldwide, so I try to flag regional availability and prices when they matter, while keeping the practical UK streaming and Android TV focus that built the site. The homepage today still reads like that brief: IPTV player reviews, official streaming news, practical fixes, and the free tools I ship under the same brand.

YouTube: from HushamMemar to @husham122

My current YouTube channel is youtube.com/@husham122. It is the video half of the same project: IPTV and streaming education, tech tips, tutorials and reviews of things I actually try. In February 2026 I posted publicly that I was back on YouTube with fresh content in that lane.

The earlier channel, known publicly as Husham Memar (live links used to look like youtube.com/HushamMemar), was where a lot of people learned Kodi, Fire Stick / Android boxes, IPTV player setup and streaming troubleshooting. For a stretch that channel was one of the places the community came when they wanted practical how-tos, not just rumours. I ran regular live shows (often Wednesday and Saturday UK time) with guests from the same scene. Public posts on this site still name nights with people such as RawMedia, Pyramid, Fanarific, Dimitrology, Retro, Gentec and Newtech. Some of those creators stayed visible. Some did not. The map changed every time YouTube tightened the rules.

In October 2016 I hit 100,000 subscribers on that original channel. I celebrated it on husham.com with a public 100K giveaway and a live show about broadband, IPTV and Kodi. That is the Silver Creator Award threshold. YouTube sent me the Silver Play Button for that milestone. I still treat that plaque as proof of the years of how-to work that came before the later crackdowns.

YouTube later deleted the original channel more than once. In April 2019 I wrote publicly that the channel had been removed three times, that automated enforcement was taking channels down in waves, and that I had been forced onto other platforms such as Cocoscope for a while. I also published that I could not simply reopen the old channel the way it was. That is why the public face today is the newer @husham122 channel, not the old HushamMemar handle. In June 2019 I even shipped an official “Husham Memar” channel APK on Google Play so people could find the replacement without chasing fake apps that other people had published in my name.

Around the same period I spent a lot of time helping other YouTubers stay online through strikes, appeals and the same policy chaos. I believe that work is part of why the original channel was taken from me. I cannot hand you a neat spreadsheet of every creator I helped, or a clean list of who stayed and who left. What I can say from the public record is this: the live-show guest list above is real, the 100K celebration is real, the repeated deletions are documented on this site, and the current channel is the rebuild.

If a review or a buffering fix lands on the site as text, there is often a matching walkthrough on @husham122. Subscribe there if you prefer video. Come back here if you want the written checklist, the download pointers and the soft links into the forum.

The forum and the community

forum.husham.com is the community side. It is where I publish app threads, version notes and support posts, and where readers report what works on their Fire Stick, Android TV box or phone. The Husham Applications section is the clearest public inventory of what I have shipped. Feedback on those threads is not decoration. It is how the players move from “works on my desk” to “works on your living-room stick”.

If you find something newsworthy for the site, use the contact form on this page or the site contact routes. The old request still stands: skip the junk mail. Useful tips, genuine bug reports and honest review suggestions are welcome.

Apps and tools I have built

I build player apps and small web tools for the same audience that reads the site. The public list I maintain on the forum (as of the applications / version-control threads in 2026) includes:

  • Husham Media Player APK for Android, Fire Stick and Android TV (latest public line still called out as v1.6.2 in that inventory; last edited mid-August 2026)
  • Husham Windows Media Player / HushamPlayer for Windows (including the 1.3.1 and earlier 1.0 Windows IPTV lines described on the site and forum)
  • HushTok for Windows and Android (TikTok downloader builds listed on the forum)
  • Related player experiments called out in the same applications posts, including macOS and other IPTV player variants where published

On the web side, two tools sit under the husham.com name:

  • speedtest.husham.com: a free multi-CDN speed test aimed at streamers, measuring download/upload, ping, jitter and bufferbloat, with a simple green/orange throttling-style verdict
  • tv.husham.com: the Husham TV Guide, a smart TV dashboard and show tracker updated for daily airings

Hardware and shop links for Android TV sticks and related kit sit at hushamelectronics.com, which I link from site posts when readers ask where to buy the kind of boxes I talk about. Public forum threads also cover the Husham Stick and related Android TV box lines (release notes, owner start-here guides, and support chatter), so that side of the project has a community home as well as a storefront. The shop is not a substitute for the education focus of the main site.

Player only, legal education stance

This part matters, so I will keep it blunt. Husham Media Player and the Windows players are players only. They do not ship channels, movies or series. You add your own playlist (Xtream Codes, M3U/M3U8 URL or a local M3U file, depending on the build). Site and forum release notes repeat the same line: supply your own legal playlists. The developer is not responsible for content users add.

That stance matches how I review third-party clients on the homepage too. When I write up TiviGlass, Trinity TV, StreamVault, Lumora or similar, the useful phrase is the same: player only. A player is a shell. What you point it at is your responsibility. Educational coverage of IPTV, Fire Stick setup, buffering and official streaming services is not a catalogue of stolen streams, and this site is not in the business of handing out illegal playlists.

If you want the practical tone of current work, start from the homepage reviews and the player posts, then use the forum for install questions. For network headaches that look like “my IPTV buffers but Netflix is fine,” run speedtest.husham.com while you stream and compare routes the way the tool is designed to.

What this site is for in 2026

Today husham.com is still the same personal project it was when I built it at school, only older and more specialised. It covers:

  • Free IPTV player apps I maintain, with version history and forum support
  • Reviews of other players and streaming clients, written as player-only assessments
  • Notes on official streaming services, Fire Stick and Android TV behaviour, Kodi updates and buffering fixes (UK-heavy where the services are UK-specific, with regional caveats when readers elsewhere need them)
  • Phones, home internet / Wi‑Fi, VPN and privacy how-tos when they sit next to the same streaming problems people bring to the site
  • Web tools for speed/throttling checks and TV guide tracking
  • A forum community that answers back in public threads rather than vanishing into private chats

The YouTube channel, the forum and the main site are meant to agree with each other. If something changes (a new player build, a tool rewrite, a clearer legal note), this About page should be updated again. Until then, treat the properties above as the public map of the project.

How to reach me

Use the contact form on this page, or the contact routes linked from the site. For app bugs and feature requests, prefer the relevant thread on forum.husham.com so other users can see the answer. For video walkthroughs, that is @husham122.

Thanks for reading, and thanks to everyone who has tested builds, reported crashes and kept the forum honest over the years. That feedback is why the players and tools keep moving.
