In this guide, I am going to show you how to install the Resistance addon on Kodi. The installation process works on all your devices that support Kodi. I have installed and used it on FireStick, Android smartphone, Windows PC etc.
I am constantly looking out for new Kodi addons for live TV. That’s because no single addon offers all the channels I want to watch. The other reason is that free live TV add-ons on Kodi (and even the free live TV apps) are often unpredictable. How to Install Resistance Kodi Addon
Before we begin, there is one little thing we need to take care of. As you would probably already know that Resistance is a third party addon for Kodi. This means that it is not the part of Kodi’s official repository. Kodi lets you install the third-party addons, but only when you have given it the permission to. So, follow the steps to give the necessary permission:
#1. Run Kodi on your device and then click Settings menu by clicking the cog icon on the upper left of the home screen
#2. When you see the following options, click ‘System Settings’
#3. You will see a set of options on the left. Click ‘Add-ons’. You should now see the related options on the right and one of them is ‘Unknown Sources’. This is the option you need to turn ON by pulling its switch to the right
#4. When you turn it ON, the following warning message shows up. Don’t worry about it as Resistance Kodi addon is safe. So, click ‘Yes’.
Kodi is now ready to install the Resistance addon. That’s what we are going to do next.
The process I am going to take you through involves several steps. But, I assure you that it is easy if you follow each step in the right order and carefully. For more clarity, I am dividing the process into the following two parts:

- Part 2: Install Resistance Kodi addon from the source

Part 1: Add Source to Kodi
Since we are going to download the Resistance addon on Kodi from the internet, there’s got to be a source from where we get it. Follow the steps below to point Kodi to that source:
#1. Open Kodi and click ‘Settings’ option yet again on the home screen
#2. Now, click ‘File manager’ from the following set of options
#3. You should now see the ‘Add source’ option, which appears on both left and right. You could click any and it will lead you to the same screen (as you can see in the image below I clicked the right one)
#4. Now, when you see this window next, click the option ‘’
#5. Enter the source URL resistance.es/info/
This is the URL that will point Kodi to the source. So, type it in exactly as shown. Click ‘OK’ to proceed
#6. The next thing you need to do is enter the name for the source you added with the URL. It could be any name of your choice. I am going to make it simple and relevant by naming it ‘resistance’.
Hit ‘OK’ when you are ready
Now the source for Resistance Kodi addon has been added. Now we will see how to install Resistance addon on Kodi.
Part 2: Install Resistance from the source
In this part, we will first install the repository which contains Resistance addon and then we will install the addon from the repository. Don’t worry, it’s going to be simple. Here are the steps:
#1. You will need to be on the Kodi home-screen again for this one. From there, click ‘Addons’ (it is one of the options on the left sidebar)
#2. Select and open the Package Installer icon on the upper left of the next screen. This icon resembles an open box as you can see in the image below
#3. Open ‘Install from zip file’ next
#4. When this window appears, scroll down a bit and click ‘resistance’. This is the name of the source you added in the previous section. If you entered any other name, choose accordingly
#5. Next, click the file named ‘repository.resistance.zip’
#6. You will now be taken back to the previous screen. Wait for a bit and you will see the ‘Resistance repo addon installed’ notification on the top right.
Stay on this window.
#7. Now, we are going to install the Resistance Kodi addon from the repository we just installed. So, click ‘Install from repository’
Note: In case you don’t see the screen in the image below, go back to Kodi home-screen and then navigate to this screen from Add-ons > Package Installer
#8. Click ‘Resistance Repo’ from the list of the installed repositories on Kodi
#9. Now, open ‘Video add-ons’
#10. Click ‘Resistance’ on the next window (check the image below)
#11. You should see the install button on the lower right of the next window. Click it to start installing the Resistance for Kodi
#12. Again, you will be taken back to the previous screen. Just wait for a minute for the ‘resistance add-on installed’ notification (as you can see it appears on the top right)
#13. You have successfully installed the Resistance live TV addon on Kodi. To access this addon, go back to Kodi home-screen and follow the path below:
- Click Add-ons on the left
- Click ‘Video Add-ons’ next
#14. Here is how the main screen of the Kodi Resistance addon looks like. What you see in the image below are the various live TV categories. Select one of the categories and start watching the live TV on Kodi
