I stopped trusting last month’s NOW deal screenshots. Prices move. Boost gets bundled, then unbundled. Someone on a Facebook group swears Entertainment is still £2.99 and they have not opened nowtv.com/offers since July.
So I checked it myself on 10 September 2026. Live page. No recycled roundup. Here is what NOW is actually selling today, what reverts after the Saver ends, and the gotchas that bite people who join through Apple, EE or Vodafone billing.
Entertainment Saver: £4.99 for six months
Headline deal right now:
- £4.99 a month for Entertainment on a 6-month minimum term
- NOW frames that as 37% off versus the £7.99 flexible plan
- After the six months: £7.99 a month unless you cancel (cancellation takes effect after the min term)
- Ads are on for the standard membership. The offers page waves a “month ad free” tease in the next steps, with the usual fine print
Catalogue pitch on the same card: Sky Originals, exclusive US shows, and the big returning HBO series like House of the Dragon Season 3. That is NOW Entertainment, not a full HBO Max Basic catalogue. Different tier for that.
For sofa nights where you want Sky-ish series without a Sky Stream contract, £4.99 for half a year is the cleanest number on the page today.
Entertainment & HBO Max: £6.99 Saver
If you want every series from HBO Max Basic with Ads (the offers page calls out shows like The Pitt) stacked with the NOW Entertainment mix:
- £6.99 a month for six months (NOW says 30% off versus £9.99)
- Then £9.99 a month after the min term
- Ads stay on NOW’s side of the membership unless you add Boost. HBO Max Basic with Ads is in the name for a reason
Useful if you already bounced between Sky Atlantic habits and a standalone Max login. One bill. Still not Ultra Boost 4K magic unless you pay for that separately later.
Cinema Saver: also £6.99 for six months
Same shape as the Max combo Saver, different library:
- £6.99 a month for six months (30% off versus £9.99)
- Then £9.99 a month
- Ads included on the standard Cinema membership, with the same “month ad free” nudge in checkout
Blockbusters and Sky film bits. Skip it if you already live inside Netflix and Disney+ and only wanted the Entertainment teaser.
Sports + Boost Saver: £27.99 for up to 12 months
This is the loud card for footie weekends:
- £27.99 a month for Sports + Boost, up to 12 months (NOW lists 31% off versus £40.99)
- Sports then goes to £34.99 a month unless you cancel after the min term
- Boost is £0 for those 12 months, then £6 a month if you keep it
- Boost pitch: Full HD on selected content, Dolby 5.1, two devices at once
Read the sports asterisk twice. Ads still sit on live sports and live channels. Boost is not a magic “Premier League without ads” switch. People get grumpy about that every season. Fair. The page is honest if you actually read it.
Also: if you cancel Sports inside the minimum term, the Boost discount can vanish and may not re-apply. NOW’s own offer text says that. Do not treat Saver as a weekend-only toy.
The gotchas that actually matter
Quick checklist before you tap Join.
- Third-party billing: Saver offers are often blocked if you pay through Vodafone, Apple, EE and similar. The offers page repeats that. If NOW is buried inside another bill, you may only see full flexible prices.
- Minimum terms: Entertainment / Cinema / Entertainment+Max Savers are six months. Sports Saver is twelve. Cancellation after the teaser still waits for that clock.
- Ads: Standard memberships include ads unless Boost or Ultra Boost is on. Live sport keeps ads either way.
- Prices move: I am quoting the live offers page on 10 September 2026. Screenshot this post for nostalgia, not as a forever price list. Re-check the page the day you pay.
Who this is for (and who should walk past)
Grab Entertainment at £4.99 if you want Sky-adjacent series on a Fire Stick, smart TV or laptop and you can cancel before month seven if the catalogue bores you.
Grab Entertainment + HBO Max at £6.99 if Max Basic with Ads is the missing piece and you hate juggling two apps for the same mood.
Grab Sports Saver only if you will actually use Sky Sports for most of those twelve months. £27.99 is a discount. It is still a proper monthly hit.
If you want a puck, a bigger channel grid and Netflix/Disney style bundles under one Sky roof, that is a different shopping trip. I am not inventing Sky Stream promo numbers here. Compare on Sky’s site the same day. For other bill shocks in the same living room, I already wrote up the Netflix UK price rise and the Paramount+ UK bump. Different services. Same “check the real till” energy.
And if you just want free official channels on Freely while you think about it, the recent Channel 5 Freely list is still sitting there with Milkshake! on 360. No Saver required.
What I would do tonight
Open the offers page on the TV browser or phone. Confirm £4.99 / £6.99 / £27.99 still match. Check you are not on Apple or EE billing if you care about Savers. Decide Entertainment versus Sports before the checkout upsell maze starts.
Cheap NOW nights are real right now. Just buy the live price, not the WhatsApp screenshot from July.
